Where will the walk-in tub go?

What affects the price

Every home is different, so pros quote after they see the project. These are the main things that change the price.

  • The tub model, size and door style
  • Features like air jets, water jets, a heated seat or fast drain
  • Removing the old tub or shower
  • Plumbing and electrical changes, like a new outlet for jets
  • Whether your water heater can fill the tub
  • Wall and floor repairs around the new tub

Common questions

How long does it take to install a walk-in tub?

Most installs take one to two days. It can take longer if the pro needs to change the plumbing, add an outlet or upgrade the water heater.

Do I have to sit in the tub while it fills and drains?

Yes. The door seals the water in, so you step in before it fills and stay until it drains. Fast-drain systems and heated seats can make the wait shorter and warmer.

Does it cost anything?

No. Matched Pros is free for homeowners. Contractors pay us when we match them with a project, and you never have to hire anyone.

Who will contact me?

Up to 3 local contractors matched to your project, and Matched Pros if we need to check a detail. They call or text to set up your free quotes. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.

Is Matched Pros a contractor?

No. We match you with independent local contractors. Any agreement for work is between you and the contractor you choose.
