Common questions
How long does it take to install a standby generator?
The install itself often takes one to three days. Permits, gas line work and inspections can add a few weeks before it is ready to use.
What size generator do I need?
It depends on what you want to run during an outage. Powering the whole home takes a bigger unit than covering the essentials. An installer can check your electrical needs and suggest a size.
Does it cost anything?
No. Matched Pros is free for homeowners. Contractors pay us when we match them with a project, and you never have to hire anyone.
